Matteo Bianchi, Francesca Fantinato e Domenico Tirrito graduated in Architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan in October 2019, with the thesis entitled: Build the confines. The project for the regeneration of the Milan slaughterhouse. The goal of the dissertation is the renewal of the area in order to meet the needs of the community, that is to rethink and improve industrial areas fallen into disuse, as part of a broader research project carried out by the city of Milan together with the Politecnico program “Riformare Milano”.
Matteo Bianchi took bachelor’s and master’s degree of architecture at Milan Polytechnic, the latter with a final score of 110. He worked with an architecture firms in Cantù and Meda, where he has done different tasks: municipal practices, survey activities on site, redesign of documents, architectural design and interior design. Furthermore, he did an internship with the architects Marialessandra Secchi (Privileggio_Secchi) and Chiara Nifosì’s (One Works) architecture firm working on various publications about Djviake and Karavasta’s Lagoon in Albania. Finally, during his academic career, he participated to different international architectural competions.
Francesca Fantinato took bachelor’s and master’s degree of architecture at Milan Polytechnic. She collaborated with an architecture firm in Varese where she worked on projects for restructuring and new buildings. In addition, she did an internship with Marialessandra Secchi (Privileggio_Secchi) and Chiara Nifosì’s (One Works) architecture firm working on various publications about Djviake and Karavasta’s Lagoon in Albania. Finally, during her University studies, she had the opportunity to do some extracurricular experiences like workshop and international architectural competitions.
Domenico Tirrito took bachelor’s and master’s degree of architecture at Milan Polytechnic, both with a score of 110 cum laude. He cooperated with an architecture firm in Bergamo, where he could face different areas of planning: architectural design, interior design, renovation design and urban planning. Furthermore, he did an internship with the architect Marialessandra Secchi (Privileggio_Secchi) and architect Chiara Nifosì’s (One Works) architecture firm working on various publications about Djviake and Karavasta’s Lagoon in Albania. Finally, during his academic career, he has been selected for Kazuyo Sejima’s architectural design studio and he participated to different international architectural competions.
