During the architectural international festival ‘IAH Summer 2018 BAG Studio has developed Eco-station Lab, a project aiming to re-design the bus stop located in San Cataldo, Lecce.

Eco-station Lab è un progetto sviluppato nell’ambito del festival internazionale d’architettura IAH Summer 2018 da BAG Studio. Il progetto proposto ha come obiettivo quello di ridisegnare e integrare lo spazio di attesa per gli autobus del lungomare di San Cataldo a Lecce.
The design proposes to hack the existing structure overlapping to it a new lighter one enhancing its functions with the addition of a new bench, a small bicycle rack and a temporary surf boards rack.

L’idea è quella di hackerare la pensilina esistente sovrapponendole una struttura effimera in grado di rifunzionalizzarla inserendo una nuova seduta, un piccolo parcheggio per biciclette e un luogo per il deposito temporaneo di tavole da surf.
The project also tries to allow the ‘customer’ to sit and wait to enjoy a framed view of the seaside. So, this is not only a better waiting space but also a new panoramic point. It is a lightweight structure made of timber boards and permeable fabric suitable to host a graphics customization. The fabric will also be backlid to allow the overnight use of this space.k.

Il progetto vuole offrire al fruitore un momento di sosta diverso attraverso una forma di grande quadro rivolto verso il mare. Non è solo uno spazio più confortevole per l’attesa, ma anche un nuovo punto di vista che valorizza il panorama. E’ una struttura leggera realizzata in listelli di legno e tessuto microforato adatta ad ospitare una personalizzazione grafica. Il tessuto sarà retroilluminato per valorizzare lo spazio anche nelle ore serali.
