The chosen site where designing the floating room was the marina of Villa Igea, marina of Palermo in Sicily, dedicated exclusively to nautical tourism.
The idea of inserting an architectural object that would integrate into the urban-natural context,
without causing imbalances of visual nature, led to the choice of a simple pure form such as the cube.
Starting from this volume, which has a solid and box-shaped form, usually sized through the definition of a standard module,
it was intended to convey a sense of discontinuity and lightness by treating the facades of the structure differently by creating alternations between opaque and transparent surfaces, through materials used like wood and glass, which allows for great lighting.
