The New Multifunctional Social Center in San Girolamo (Bari) was born, on municipal initiative, to meet the need for aggregation spaces. The complex takes shape in rural areas no longer in use after the demolition of the elementary school that took up the whole lot. The new plan calls for a reorganization of the area multivalent spaces to offer a number of activities aimed at developing social interactions among citizens, limiting the risk of marginalization. As the extension of the available area, a structure divided into six bodies was conceived: hall, bar-restaurant, study room, playhouse, auditorium and exhibition hall. Buildings are articulated with each other through a well-recognizable path from the outside.
