The project comes from the request to make a small intervention using wood as a construction material. The idea starts from the desire to create a space in the public space that improves urban equipment in particular in the most degraded neighborhoods, bringing the population closer to public use and increasing participation and interest in meeting places, civic and cultural expression.
The micro-theater is an already existing activity started in Spain inside abandoned buildings and today spread in different cities of the world. Is made of short theatrical performances that take place in small spaces of representation with a limited number of actors and spectators, (15-minute theater works, for less than 15 people, in 15 m2). The project is made of a single dismountable and mobile platform, which can be divided into three smaller rooms to guarantee the performance of several performances at the same time. The structure is made of steel beams and wood panels coupled to a single central wooden pillar. Some fixed panels divide the three internal environments, while externally they are enclosed by mobile panels so, it can be opened the scenario to the external space if necessary. The columns along the perimeter of the platform support the covering together with the central pillar, which can also be dismantled into elements and transported easily.
