The thesis consists of a journey in the Hip Hop culture examining its primordial spaces and their relationship with the urban environment, identifying specific recurring characteristics that can be translated into quantifiable performances. Therefore, analyzing the South Bronx through the fundamentals of Hip Hop, Rap, Djing, Writing and Breakdancing, it sets up a reinterpretation of shapes, surfaces and sounds. The performative responses of these areas regulate the project strategy, which plans four different design solutions that work as catalysts to enhance the existing relationships of the urban context and a main intervention called: Hip Hop Center.
