The management of the stresses to which structures are subjected during their lifetime is an important issue; in addition to static loads there are dynamic stresses that have to be controlled to ensure functioning and safety of buildings. A case study was analyzed and designed: it’s a special structure that would replace Accademia bridge in Venice, with the dual function of bridge-museum as required by Arquitectuum “Venice 2006” contest.
