After the Covid-19 pandemic Giulia’s and Roberto’s employees give them the opportunity to work more often from home. To support their new lifestyle this proposal for a new apartment layout focus on the balance between common facilities, living, working and services.
When working from home having the right balance between work and everyday life become very important. This project therefore suggest a separated balcony, entrance, bedroom and bathroom and a open common room with space for work, breaks, eating, physical activities such as yoga and friends. To create the best use of the common room two shelf systems is designed, according to the Giulia’s job as a designer and Roberto as a consulting. Containing space for work and storage to create more space for shared activities in the middle of the room.
To make them aware of their daily routine the interior is changing color between the entrance and bedroom, kitchen and common room. Representing the changing balance in everyday life.
